Lecture 002: Electrophilic Aromatic Substitution

We briefly reviewed some nomenclature for aromatics then discussed the Electrophilic Aromatic Substitution mechanism. Two examples of reactions using this mechanism were discussed: Friedel-Crafts and aromatic halogenation reactions.
