Lecture 013: enols part 2

We looked at the second part of the enol section. This included Claisen condensation between esters and the crossed Claisen condensation between 2 different esters or between ketones and esters. Other synthetic strategies included the malonate ester and acetoacetic acid syntheses. Finally, Michael addition was covered.
